Assignment Principles

We try to carry out each assignment in a way that creates the conditions essential for ensuring action
We try to carry out each assignment in a way that creates the conditions essential for ensuring action and effecting change.
- Before accepting an assignment, we make every reasonable effort to ensure that, first, opportunities exist for significant benefits to the client, and second, there are no real barriers to achieving these benefits;
- ADR guarantees value for money. From the outset we will determine the consultancy assignment benefits and only proceed with implementation if these benefits significantly exceed the cost of consultancy;
- We work closely with key members of the client business(es). We agree at the start performance basis for the working relationship. We hold frequent informal and formal progress reviews. We seek to build consensus across the business on the nature of the problem, on alternatives for solution and on the type of change and pace of change required. This approach facilitates the opportunities to build understanding, acceptance, ownership and support for change;
- We seek to transfer our skills to the client teams through supporting implementation of the project. This ensures that permanent change is established in the client business so that continued progress can be made after our departure;
- We seek to solve problems jointly with our clients, not for them. Our efforts are collaborative, leveraging clients' knowledge of their business, markets and technologies with our knowledge of change management and purchasing;
- Our facilitative approach to consultancy enables ADR to minimize the number of consultant days required to deliver a successful assignment;
