Aegis Analytical Corporation Partners With SoftBrands To Expand PRIMR Offering
Software module rapidly turns manufacturers' paper record data into meaningful information
Aegis Analytical Corporation, a provider of enterprise software and expertise for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, has selected SoftBrands, a global leader in enterprise software for businesses in the manufacturing and hospitality sectors, as a software alliance re-seller of its Discoverant Paper Record Input Manager (PRIMR). The agreement expands the value of SoftBrands' Fourth Shift Lot Trace Module.
Discoverant PRIMR is a software application that assists in capturing paper-based data in the highly demanding environment of manufacturing. Fully validatable and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant, PRIMR allows users to capture their paper-based data more easily and accurately for use in a variety of on-going quality compliance and operational tasks. These tasks include process trending, specification setting, annual product reviews and process validation. PRIMR's user-centric graphical interface provides customizable, on-screen data entry forms based on a user's existing paper forms. Once data is entered through the PRIMR interface, it is verified and approved. The data then becomes available to the entire user community within the company for all their operational excellence and quality compliance tasks.
The partnership provides SoftBrands' customers with a data capture method vastly superior to paper record keeping. Vital data can be easily backed up and therefore protected. In addition, customers can search and select the records needed for further analysis much faster than they can hunt through paper records.
The Fourth Shift ERP business solution is a set of integrated applications that tie together and streamline business processes across its clients' accounting, engineering, manufacturing, order entry, purchasing and shipping operation, which assists companies to reduce overall inventory levels while improving cash collection and on-time order shipments.
"Traditionally, working with paper records has been a time intensive, costly process prone to human error," said Justin Neway, chief science officer, Aegis Analytical Corporation. "PRIMR provides the information in a validated, accurate electronic format allowing companies to maximize the data they've collected and utilize resources more efficiently."
"Our enterprise applications are designed to help small to midsize manufacturing plants streamline business processes and improve efficiency. Offering PRIMR to our customers is just another way we can help them realize increased profitability through reductions in overall inventory levels, higher inventory turns, faster cash collection and improved on-time delivery performance," said Dave Gahn, vice president and general manager Americas, SoftBrands.
