Asahi Glass Electronic Materials
Founded in 1996, AGEM is a subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company, Japan (AGC). Products are manufactured under the trade name Roiceram-HS™ and are marketed throughout North America and Europe. Roiceram-HS is an erosion-free CVD-coated SiC material developed by AGC that features high purity levels and high temperature durability.
While AGEM is wholly owned by Asahi Glass Company, our manufacturing operation AGPR, is a joint venture between Asahi Glass Company and AGC's strategic partner Pacific Rundum. Together, these AGC companies are amongst its 14 largest US operations.
AGPR's world-class, fully integrated manufacturing facility employs advanced production technologies that are copied after those successful at AGC in Japan. Thus, by employing identical raw materials, manufacturing equipment imported from Japan, and an ongoing mutual transfer of technology, AGPR's products are designed to meet our customer's strict requirements for high purity and dimensional precision.
As a subsidiary of AGC, engineers at AGEM have access to Japan's research center, which consists of over 600 experts in the field of organic and inorganic research. Likewise, AGC's database of over 6,000 drawings exclusively for silicon carbide furnace components is available to AGEM.
