ClearOrbit Launches Industry's First Web Store For Supply Chain Execution Products And Services

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ClearOrbit, a leading provider of real-time supply chain execution and reverse logistics software solutions, today announced the launch of an online store, further demonstrating the company's commitment to providing manufacturers and distributors easy-to-use solutions that streamline their supply chain operations. The ClearOrbit Web Store (http://store.clearorbit.com), now live and open for business, is a one-stop shop for ClearOrbit certified hardware products, software, and services.

Currently, the Store offers customers a secure, convenient method for ordering hardware devices certified for use with ClearOrbit software, such as scanners and mobile computers, label printers, wireless infrastructure equipment, and recommended or required accessories such as printer labels, spare batteries and service contracts. Hardware prices featured online are highly competitive; the Web Store accepts payment by credit cards and company purchase order. The Store will also offer online registration and payment processing for all ClearOrbit software training courses. In the future, ClearOrbit plans to offer easy-to-use software applications that seamlessly integrate to leading ERP platforms, such as Oracle and SAP.

According to Warren Sumner, ClearOrbit vice president of marketing and products, "We're simplifying and accelerating the method by which customers evaluate and purchase solutions that increase the efficiency of their supply chain operations. Anything we can do to make it easier for customers to deploy our solutions ultimately decreases their time to value and enables them to focus on their core business operations."

According to Bruce Richardson, chief research officer at AMR Research, this new channel for customers to interact with ClearOrbit is an extension of the company's commitment to building "easy-to-use software and strong customer partnerships." In a recent posting on his blog, First Thing Monday, Richardson noted that "Customers view the ClearOrbit relationship as a partnership versus a buyer-vendor relationship . . . When asked why they selected the company, most customers said 'quality, service, and price.'"

To encourage first-time users to shop at the Web Store, ClearOrbit is offering a five percent discount off all hardware orders totaling greater than $1,000 and a ten percent discount off individual registration for training classes. To receive the discount (good through August 15, 2008), buyers must enter the code AUG15 upon checkout.

Sumner added that the Web Store is designed to augment, not replace, the company's growing sales and customer service teams. "The ClearOrbit Web Store gives us the opportunity to deepen relationships with our expanding customer base and better respond to their business needs, while ensuring that our teams are available to provide exceptional service to our prospective customers as well."
