Click Commerce Wins SIIA CODiE Award
Chicago, IL - Click Commerce, Inc., provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions, announced recently that the Click Commerce Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) was awarded the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) 2007 CODiE Award in the software category for "Best Web Services Solution."
Web services enable software applications to work together over the Internet or a local network, which reduces time and implementation costs. The Click Commerce ESB provides a flexible framework for creating composite applications which combine Click Commerce's products in unique ways to solve complex business problems. This framework leverages Web services and Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) to orchestrate the flow of information between Click Commerce applications.
"We are delighted and honored to be selected by SIIA, an organization universally recognized as having exacting standards for solution excellence," said Steve Cole, senior vice president of strategy at Click Commerce. "The Click Commerce ESB and our service-oriented architecture are key parts of our composite applications framework which allows us to rapidly develop and deliver complex solutions to our customers. They are enabling technologies in our industry-leading service supply chain solution and will be a part of the extended order management solution that we will deliver to initial customers this summer. This recognition by the SIIA validates the way that we are using new technologies to solve everyday business problems."
"I applaud all the companies selected as winners or finalists in the 22nd annual CODiE Awards," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. "The software and information industry continues to move at a dizzying pace, and being recognized by your peers for getting to and staying at the head of the pack in such a dynamic environment is a major accomplishment. It is one of the reasons why the CODiE Awards hold such a special place in our industry."
The CODiE Awards – established in 1986 and given each year by the SIIA – utilize both journalist and peer-company reviews to identify the leaders and innovators in 75 categories across the software, digital content and education technology industries. Judges for the first round of voting included journalists from industry trade publications, technology writers from mainstream publications, consultants and other industry experts. SIIA member companies voted in the final round of selection.
