WINTER PARK, FLA.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
COPC Inc., a global consulting firm that helps companies improve operational performance, announces the availability of IndirectPro™, a suite of services for indirect procurement organizations. Services include consulting, certification and training, with the first class, Best Practices for Indirect Procurement, to be held in March 2018. More information can be found at www.indirectpro.com.
“We developed the IndirectPro service offering because we saw a growing need within the sourcing community for guidelines and best practices specifically for indirect procurement. Since indirect spend is often more than 50 percent of a company’s total purchasing, it is more important than ever for organizations to strategically manage this spend. By doing so, they will increase their internal stakeholder satisfaction, improve supplier performance, and reduce annual spend. This will have a real impact on their company’s bottom line,” said Cliff Moore, chairman of COPC Inc. and founder of the Indirect Procurement practice at COPC Inc.
All IndirectPro services are based on best practices found in the COPC Indirect Procurement Standard, a performance management system created specifically for indirect procurement operations. The Standard, published in March 2017, was developed as a collaborative effort by Microsoft Corporation, procurement executives from other leading companies, Western Michigan University, and COPC Inc. The Standard is free to download and available for any sourcing professional to use.
Training . An integral part of the IndirectPro solution is training designed specifically for sourcing professionals managing indirect spend. Two levels of training are available — a four-day, intensive program to master key indirect procurement processes to improve bottom line growth, and a one-day executive overview.
Best Practices for Indirect Procurement. This four-day, in-depth program provides best practices, metrics and processes for managing indirect procurement based on the COPC Indirect Procurement Standard. The first public class will be in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, March 12-15, 2018. Participants will learn detailed approaches for implementing the guidelines found in all five areas of the Standard—leadership and planning, business processes, support processes, performance measures and people processes. Key topics include:
Attendees will leave this course equipped with knowledge and approaches for implementing best practices in their environment, having an immediate and lasting impact on their operation. The course is an interactive learning environment with a combination of lecture, discussion, and case studies. At the end of class, participants can take a certification exam to earn the designation of Certified IndirectPro Leader.
Executive Overview--Indirect Procurement Standard. Designed for sourcing executives, this one-day session provides leaders with an overview of the key best practices for indirect procurement as defined by the COPC Indirect Procurement Standard. This class is available upon request.
Consulting . Consulting services include spend analysis and optimization; assessing stakeholder and supplier satisfaction; developing sourcing strategies and providing support; and conducting in-depth reviews of sourcing operations.
Certification . Certification is available to any sourcing organization managing substantial amounts of indirect spend. Certifying a purchasing organization to the COPC Indirect Procurement Standard provides external validation that the organization is meeting or exceeding high-performance operational targets.
