Coupa, Boomi Expand Application Integration Capabilities For Enterprise Customers
Boomi Connects Coupa e-Procurement to Financial Systems, to Automate ERP Process from Procure to Pay through both SaaS and on-Premise Applications
San Mateo, CA & Berwyn, PA – Coupa Software, the leading provider of on-demand purchasing software to control business spending and costs, recently announced a partnership with Boomi, the Integration Cloud Company, that will enable Coupa customers to quickly and easily automate their entire procure-to-pay process by integrating the company's e-Procurement application directly with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or accounts payable systems. Boomi allows Coupa e-Procurement to connect directly to popular enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial systems from vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and NetSuite, as well as custom applications and customer databases.
The partnership creates end-to-end integration and interoperability across 60+ SaaS and on-premise applications in the Boomi AtomSphere, the industry's first integration Platform-as-a-Service, and effectively allows Coupa to solve the integration challenge on behalf of their customers. Businesses using Coupa can now match invoices to purchase orders, confirm item receipt and provide timely payment to suppliers seamlessly through several applications.
Additionally, Coupa has leveraged the AtomSphere platform to develop and embed a pre-built integration widget for MS Dynamics within Coupa's solution. Coupa users can configure and deploy this Boomi Widget without any support from their IT departments. The widget contains the rules and logic of the integration, as well as a wizard to walk users through the setup process of the integration step-by-step . Coupa plans to develop additional widgets to best-of-breed ERP and financial applications in early 2010.
"It was imperative to us that we did not have to build the integration between Coupa and Microsoft Dynamics GP," said Steve Ferguson, CFO of Prospect Education, a Coupa customer. "The Boomi Widget really simplified the integration process. We now have all suppliers, accounts, and invoices flowing seamlessly between our accounting and e-procurement systems. This integration between Coupa and Microsoft Dynamics ensures changes to supplier or accounting information on either system is synchronized and the data flow is automatic. This functionality has accelerated our ability to show a return on our investment in Coupa."
Rob Bernshteyn, Coupa CEO, added, "Companies understand that increasing spend under management and capturing greater savings is most easily accomplished through software optimized for managing the procure-to-pay process in ways that ERP systems cannot. At the same time, it's important for the purchasing platform to be integrated with the accounting package. Our partnership with Boomi gives our customers the best of both worlds – a next generation e-procurement platform from which to capture savings of 10 percent or more, and tight integration to the accounting packages on which they have already standardized. It's a win-win for everyone involved."
Boomi's CEO Bob Moul said, "Our partnership with Coupa exemplifies the power of pure SaaS technology to deliver deliver superior capabilities and rapid ROI to enterprise customers. We're proving that enterprise-class applications can be delivered fully integrated from the cloud at a fraction of the cost, complexity, and time of conventional software and integration products."
