The Cryodynamics Division of EBARA International Corporation was founded in California in 1973 to execute the founder's concepts of submerged electric motor pump design. In 1984, Cryodynamics became associated with EBARA Corporation of Japan, one of the world's largest specialized pump companies with over 5,000 employees. In 1989, this association culminated with our becoming the Cryodynamics Division of EBARA International Corporation.

Through our affiliation with EBARA, we gained the flexibility of interfacing our liquefied gas pump engineering know-how with their centrifugal pump know-how dating from 1912. This combination provides a depth of capability and experience unmatched by any manufacturer of pumps for cryogenic liquids. Consequently, Cryodynamics is recognized as the unquestionable leader in this field.

The company founders remain officers of the corporation and are actively engaged in its daily operations. Thus, Cryodynamics began as, and remains, a specialist in the design, manufacture, and test of submerged electric motor powered pumps and power recovery turbine generators.

Cryodynamics offers full performance testing of liquefied gas pumps using the actual service fluids. Testing is performed at full flow and power with either LNG, LPG or LN2, depending on the temperature and specific gravity of the expected service fluid.

Cryodynamics is located in Sparks, Nevada (adjacent to Reno in North Nevada on the California border), close to Interstate Highway 80 which is the main route between the East and West coasts of the USA. The factory and main offices are in a modern 5000m2 indoor plant on a 24,000m2 site newly constructed in 1994.

Our site includes one of the world's largest and most sophisticated cryogenic liquefied gas pump test facilities.

Our pump manufacturing area has three production bays, two of which have overhead bridge cranes. The manufacturing plant is fully equipped with machine tools, precision dynamic balancing machines and complete inspection facilities to carry out production, assembly, testing, packaging and shipping of our products to world-wide locations.

Cryodynamics uses state-of-the-art computer aided design technology and is staffed with qualified and experienced engineers and technicians to design, manufacture and factory test each pump and turbine. Our products are also fully backed by specialist service engineers based in the U.S.A., Japan and the U.K.

Our Quality system has been evaluated and is registered in accordance with ISO Standards. Cryodynamics is Quality System Certified to ISO 9001:-1994 with a Current Continuous Registration.
