EY And OpenText Form Strategic Alliance To Deliver Enhanced Enterprise Information Management Solutions

Joint offerings address issues of content management, information analytics and detecting behavior patterns to predict outcomes and improve performance

New York, NY and Montreal, QC /PRNewswire/ - EY today announced a strategic alliance with OpenText, a global leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), to expand EY's digital and analytical services and address information management issues more effectively in a connected workspace, particularly for EY's clients leveraging SAP® software.

"The alliance with OpenText will enable EY to address key customer issues around managing content, while simultaneously understanding patterns of behavior and expected outcomes," said Kimberly Connors, Partner, Ernst & Young LLP, and Canadian National IT Advisory Leader. "Our new alliance allows us to look at content problems through a transformational lens, helping clients to predict future outcomes and improve business performance."

Connors also noted that the alliance was formed to help clients handle the petabytes of the structured and unstructured data generated by companies, allowing them to create exceptional customer experiences and improve strategic decision-making. In addition, the agreement will allow EY to extend its core implementation services to provide seamless, well-integrated OpenText implementation services to clients using SAP solutions.

"We are excited to welcome EY to the OpenText Global Partner Program. As a strategic partner across a number of key areas of OpenText's business, EY's combination of business and technical capabilities will help our joint customers to benefit from the opportunities available in today's digital world," said Adam Howatson, Chief Marketing Officer at OpenText.

Steve Watson, Global Performance Improvement Leader, EY said: "Our clients are challenged by the vast amount of data generated by the very processes that are essential to running their businesses – from checking customers' credit, to procure-to-pay processing in acquiring goods and services, to auditing. Now, through our alliance with OpenText, our clients whose businesses generate masses of data, particularly through SAP solutions across organizations and geographies will be able to use the content and data to help create exceptional customer experiences and improve strategic decision-making."
