Case Study: Hirst & Applegate, P.C.

Hirst & Applegate, P.C., was incorporated in 1971, and is known for its strong reputation for effective trial work and the successful representation of a broad range of clients in Wyoming. The law firm provides experienced legal service in all states and federal courts in Wyoming and the Tenth Circuit of Appeals in Colorado, specializing in: Litigation, Estate Planning & Estate Administration, and Business and Real Estate Law.

The growing law firm currently has twenty-one employees throughout its tri-level office servicing several hundred clients, resulting in up to a thousand documents being copied, scanned and filed per month. Being a law firm that handles a variety of cases, it is important that all file documentation is handled properly and effectively in order to complete tasks and solve cases as efficiently as possible.

At the Hirst & Applegate office, the firm had one large all-in-one copier and scanner to service its needs. With client growth and a number of multiple attorneys simultaneously needing the all-in-one, it became quite the office bottleneck, slowing the firm's workflow and taking from 30 minutes to up to more than a day to complete a scan. Hirst & Applegate knew they needed a reliable, economical solution for either each attorney's desktop or at least on each office floor.
