Non-contact Surface Roughness Gage

This addition to the Lasercheck line of high-speed, non-contact surface roughness measurement gages is packaged with a compact 3.0 × 1.4 × 1.75 in. portable head. Said to be able to perform measurements for years without maintenance, the gage has no fragile or expensive stylus tips to protect or replace. The technology can be used in harsh manufacturing operations such as steel and aluminum mills and automotive parts plants.

The Lasercheck system provides precision and repeatability equivalent to the highest quality laboratory grade surface profilometers available. It is fast and easy to use than a shopfloor or lab profilometer. The user sets the compact handheld measurement head on the surface to be measured and the system takes surface roughness measurements in a fraction of a second over a range of 0.25 µin. (0.006 microns) to more than 100 µin. (2.54 microns) Ra roughness.
