Met-Cycle Inc.ia blasting (PMB) removes coatings from hard surfaces by compressing tiny plastic pellets into a steady stream. According to the service provider, these compressed pellets "fracture" the coating, according to the service provider, effectively removing the coating without affecting the metal substrate below. Because it is so harmless to the part surface, PMB is ideal for reclaiming painted steel or aluminum parts.
PMB can be used for the removal of paint from expensive components such as aircraft structural parts. The process trips the paint at room temperature, allowing it to be used on many different substrates.
