Port Of Amsterdam Selects Proactis' Contract-To-Pay Solution

Proactis, the global spend management company, is proud to welcome Port of Amsterdam as a new customer. The port authority will use Proactis' solutions to centralise the procurement process and to make it easier to order.

As manager and developer of the Amsterdam seaport, Port of Amsterdam contributes to making the (logistics) processes and the port's industrial complex faster, smarter and cleaner. In addition, Port of Amsterdam makes important contributions to the international competitive position of the region, and the whole of the Netherlands, with a throughput of 87 million tons in 2019.

Proactis will provide Port of Amsterdam support for the entire Contract-to-Pay process. After an intensive selection process, Proactis was selected, with reasons for this including the user-friendliness and the extensive functional scope.

"We expect that with the deployment of this software we will be able to make a big step forward which will vastly help the further development of our procurement function," said Michael Blankenstijn, Port of Amsterdam

The aim of the relationship is to replace the current, decentralized process with a process in which purchasing is done centrally, while ordering can be decentralised within the organisation. This will give Port of Amsterdam insight into expenditure, a better grip on contracts and ensure compliance with the procurement strategy.
