Subway's Purchasing Organiztion Chooses Partner

Portland, OR --Independent Purchasing Cooperative, Inc. (IPC), the purchasing organization for SUBWAY, announced the selection of Chockstone, Inc. as its partner for comprehensive gift and loyalty card services for all of its restaurant locations in the U.S. and Canada. IPC is owned by SUBWAY franchisees and provides negotiations, contract management and supply chain management services to the SUBWAY(R) restaurant system, the largest restaurant system in North America.

"Chockstone's unique combination of technology, innovation, and reliability in delivering integrated gift and loyalty card programs made them the ideal partner for the SUBWAY system," comments Jan Risi, President and CEO of IPC. "We found there were plenty of vendors that could deliver a basic gift card program; in Chockstone, we discovered an opportunity to offer a gift card program to our franchisees that supports customer marketing campaigns that drive frequency and improves efficiencies at the POS."

IPC and SUBWAY franchisees will rely on Chockstone for all electronic gift and loyalty card services to support the continued growth of the SUBWAY brand. Chockstone's leading platform is already enabling SUBWAY franchisees in seven states to offer their customers an integrated gift and loyalty card program with real-time promotions tailored to the individual cardholder. Chockstone will enable SUBWAY customers across the U.S. and Canada to pay for their meals with the Subway Card and earn and redeem rewards in areas offering the electronic loyalty program.

"Chockstone is honored to partner with IPC and the SUBWAY franchisees," states Jeffrey Lipp, Chockstone CEO & President. "We look forward to supporting IPC's constant efforts to drive traffic, revenue, and profitability to the Subway franchisees."
