The Variset 4 tool management software package lets users analyze and manage machine tool usage, costs, and suppliers; configure processes and operations to departments or cost centers; configure tool cycle lives; and machine product counts.
Users can create and print process sheets that define what processes and operations are required on a machine. Other capabilities include tool cost and inventory tracking, tool life or change management, purchasing, and creation of custom reports per engineer or plant. The system can be integrated with existing subsystems, such as computer security, plant physical hierarchy, plant process data, stores requisitions, drawings, and pager systems.
