TÜV SÜD, The Leading German Technical Service Provider, Implements Proactis SAP UI To Optimize Procurement Processes

Proactis, the global spend management and B2B eCommerce company, has announced that TÜV SÜD, the testing and product/system certification, inspection and auditing specialist has gone live with a new intuitive procurement interface, implementing UI5 with Proactis’ new UX/UI for Catalog and Search functionality.

The company employs more than 24,000 employees, located in more than 1000 outlets. In 2011, TÜV SÜD selected Proactis to create a centralized procurement function and to automate the procurement process throughout the business.

In February 2019, the company extended its Proactis solution in 57 locations worldwide to further simplify its procurement system and adoption by improving the user experience for all users.

Using Proactis Catalog and Search functionality through The Business Network, TÜV SÜD’s Procurement department was able to more than double line item purchase orders within the system and consistently reduce off-contract, maverick spend over the same period.

“We have managed to implement a unique indirect purchasing process throughout 57 countries thanks to Proactis solutions and to permanently improve optimization,” stated Thomas Sjöberg, Division Manager for Procurement Governance, Analytics and Operations at TÜV SÜD.

Given the successful relationship, the company decided to extend its Proactis solution to further simplify its procurement system and adoption by improving the user experience for all users.

“Our overall aim is to simplify procurement and implement a more modern, user-friendly system. Proactis is helping our users to drastically improve customer experience using UI5 technologies and new catalog functionality that seamlessly integrates with our SAP Supplier Relationship Management system,” continued Thomas Sjöberg.

The new Proactis user interface is lean and intuitive to support TÜV SÜD’s aim of making the procurement process simple and clear, while providing a rich source of information. Shopping carts can be created in a couple of clicks, while each purchaser has access to all the information needed. And as approval is possible by email and the App, the whole process is quick and seamless.

This process is part of the global TÜV SÜD strategy to constantly and durably develop digital transformation across the organization.
