University Of Strathclyde Selects The EGS Marketplace From PROACTIS

PROACTIS, a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, recently announced the University of Strathclyde has selected the EGS Marketplace to transform its purchasing, achieve best value for goods and services, and reduce supplier transaction costs.

PROACTIS acquired the EGS Marketplace from EGS Group Limited early this year, to further strengthen its leading position in the UK Public Sector which now consists of approximately 200 Public Sector organizations controlling over £15B of public spending across 150,000+ suppliers.

The EGS Marketplace will enable The University of Strathclyde to manage all approved suppliers in one place. This will allow all their authorized users to buy quickly and easily from suppliers online while ensuring compliance to negotiated contracts.

In phase one, the University will obtain rapid connection to 15 punchout suppliers already configured in the solution - to provide a single electronic shopping basket experience for gathering goods from these suppliers - prior to streamlining and automating its Accounts Payable process.

The EGS Marketplace will be integrated to the University's UNIT4 Agresso financial management system.
